I had the the trip of a lifetime when I made contact with Jos and asked him to arrange a trip to Kerala. Jos was extremely helpful from the word go and asked me what I would like my itinerary to involve. My advice is – take up his every offer, he arranged such a fantastic trip for me.
I stayed two nights at his homestay near Fort Kochin. What wonderful space and accommodation and hospitality. I went on a number of excursions arranged by Jos which included a visit to Fort Cochin (plenty of museums, churches, shops, etc to visit); an evening of kathakali theatre; an evening visit to local prawn farm where I enjoyed a dinner of some of the evening’s catch ; and a sunset boat trip with a delightful boatsman, Peter. Everyone I met was so helpful, so interested and interesting. I was travelling alone and rest assured that I felt comfortable and welcome everywhere I went.
In both Grammam Homestay and at Harivihar I met and made new friends when the mood took me! Five stars, without a doubt.
